From large-scale shipyard projects and LNG carriers to offshore drilling platforms and desalination projects, pumping equipment faces two core challenges: first, the immense mechanical stress caused by "high flow rates and high head," and second, the extreme corrosiveness of the seawater environment.
As a professional manufacturer of cast steel pump casings and other cast steel components, we don't just produce steel; we build the strong backbone for marine equipment.
1. Structural rigidity and dimensional control for high-flow applications.
In shipyard drainage and ship ballast systems, high flow rates mean enormous pump sizes and extremely high fluid impact forces. For such large cast steel components (such as giant volutes), the biggest challenge is preventing deformation during the cooling process. We use high-strength sand mold formulations and specialized tooling fixtures, combined with computer-simulated solidification analysis, to ensure uniform stress release during the cooling of large castings, guaranteeing the flatness of the flange surface and the dimensional accuracy of the internal cavity, thus ensuring low vibration and high stability during pump operation.

2. Corrosion-resistant materials science for offshore platforms.
Facing the salt spray and high chloride ion environment of offshore platforms and desalination plants, ordinary carbon steel cannot meet the requirements for long-term operation. We possess mature casting processes for duplex stainless steel and super duplex stainless steel. By strictly controlling the ratio of ferrite to austenite and performing solution treatment, our castings have extremely high pitting resistance equivalent, effectively resisting crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in seawater.
3. Strict adherence to classification society standards.
Whether it's the main cargo oil pumps for LNG carriers or the fire pumps for FPSOs, our production process is fully aligned with the specifications of classification societies such as DNV, ABS, and CCS. From spectroscopic analysis of raw materials to final mechanical performance testing, every batch of molten steel is traceable.
Marine engineering does not allow for trial and error. If you are looking for a partner that can provide large-sized, high-precision, and corrosion-resistant cast steel components, please contact us. Our engineers look forward to discussing how to optimize your next generation of marine pump products.
