Introduction of casting pump housing:
Casting pump housing is the main structure of a molten salt pump, which has sufficient strength and stiffness to withstand the pressure generated when the pump is running. The internal design of casting pump housing has an eddy current channel, which can convert the speed energy generated by the rotation of the impeller into pressure energy to realize the transportation of molten salt.
Features of casting pump housing:
1. Casting pump housing is made of austenitic stainless steel, which can form a stable passivation film in a high temperature molten salt environment, and its resistance to chloride ion corrosion is exponentially higher than that of ordinary carbon steel.
2. The elements produced by the stainless steel pump casing material can effectively inhibit the intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation at high temperatures, and the tensile strength can still be maintained in good condition after long-term operation, and there is basically no risk of embrittlement.
Application of stainless steel pump casing:
1. Stainless steel pump casing can be used for molten salt circulating pumps in heat storage systems in solar thermal power stations.

How to tell if the stainless steel pump casing needs to be replaced:
1. If the pump body is running with high-frequency abnormal noise, the vibration amplitude exceeds the design value, and the impeller, bearing and other components are eliminated, it may be that the flow channel wear of the stainless steel casting pump housing causes the flow field to be disturbed, or the stainless steel casting pump housing interferes with the impeller due to corrosion or deformation, and it needs to be stopped for inspection.
2. When the outlet pressure of stainless steel casting pump housing drops by more than 15% compared to the state of the new parts, or the actual flow rate is lower than 80% of the design value, it may be that the flow channel of stainless steel casting pump housing is corroded or fouled severely, resulting in a decrease in the overcurrent area and an increase in hydraulic pressure loss, which needs to be replaced.
3. If the sealing surface of stainless steel casting pump housing and the pump body continuously leaks due to deformation, corrosion, or cracks in the housing itself, then there is a safety risk and it must be replaced immediately.
